Senior Superintendent of Police Reneto Adams has recorded a single on Truckback's 'Carbine' rhythm which has been generating a lot of buzz in the Jamaican marketplace. The single, called 'To Protect and Serve' appears on the Baseline Production imprint for Truckback Records.
"We approached him with the idea over three months ago, and he liked it, so we recorded the song about five days before his first court appearance. It was a good recording session, he sings the hook: Reneto is here to please the people/I am not here to deceive the people/Disarm anybody who ah harm the people/My uptown, downtown, garrison people. The rest of it is all speech, but it bad like yars, he has it like that," Steve of Baseline Productions, said.
